Cradle cap occurs most often in babies making their scalp skin look flaky and dry. It looks just like dandruff with a yellowish and brown crust. Although, it’s harmless, it doesn’t look very nice on your baby’s head. The causes are unknown, but what you should know that isn’t caused by poor hygiene or allergies. And the great news is you can remove your baby’s cradle cap with natural remedies.
You can use almond or olive oil to get rid of cradle cap. Take a small amount in the palms of your hands and apply it on your baby’s scalp and leave it to act for 15 minutes. Then, with the help of a fine-tooth comb or brush the flakes out.
Then wash the scalp with a gentle baby shampoo, because you don’t want to leave oil on your baby’s head. It may clog the pores making the flakes to stick.
